ST. LOUIS, Mo. – The Lewis University men's soccer team defeated Missouri St. Louis 1-0 Friday (Oct. 18) in a Great Lakes Valley Conference match. It is the fifth straight win for the Flyers.

Both teams recorded a shot in the early stages of the contest before Stampley recorded the only shot on goal in the match, which happened to find the back of the net at the 20:49 mark for a 1-0 Lewis lead.
The Flyers took two more shots in the half, while the Tritons attempted one.
Second Half: Lewis 0, UMSL 0
It was a physical second half, but the Flyers were able to hold off the Tritons. UMSL committed 17 fouls in the half, compared to just one for Lewis, while also receiving two yellow cards.
The only shot of the half came from UMSL in the 78th minute, but the shot missed wide left.
