ST. LOUIS, Mo. – The Lewis University women's soccer team fell to Missouri St. Louis 4-1 Friday (Oct. 18) in a Great Lakes Valley Conference match.

HALF BREAKDOWN
First Half: Lewis 1, UMSL 1
The Flyers registered the first shot on goal in the second minute of the contest courtesy of Culver, but it was the Tritons who scored first shortly after at the 3:13 mark to make it 1-0.
UMSL took control from there, registering the next six shots over a 17-minute stretch. The Flyers came back with a pair of corner kicks sandwiched around a shot by
Olivia Zediker (Rockford, Ill./Guilford).
That helped fuel the momentum in favor of Lewis as it recorded a shot on goal from Harvey, which was saved in the 25
th minute. Lewis kept the pressure on, getting a second shot on goal from Capion, which was also turned away in the 29
th minute.
Lewis finally broke through when Culver found the back of the net at the 40:08 mark on a pass from Harvey to tie the score going into the half.
Second Half: UMSL 3, Lewis 0
The Tritons scored their first goal of the second half less than a minute in. Six minutes later they took a two-goal lead and finished off the scoring in the 68
th minute.
