ROMEOVILLE, Ill. – The Lewis University women's soccer team fell to McKendree 3-2 Friday (Oct. 25) at Lewis Stadium.

HALF BREAKDOWN
First Half: Lewis 1, UMSL 1
The Bearcats had three of the first four shots before scoring the first goal of the game at the 21:03 mark.
Lewis responded quickly with a shot a minute later and shortly after that Culver found the back of the net on a pass from Harvey to tie the score at the 22:39 mark. Each team recorded a shot to finish off the half.
Second Half: McKendree 2, Lewis 1
McKendree opened the scoring in the second half with a goal in the 55th minute. Lewis answered again quickly as Aguilar scored on a penalty kick at 57:32.
The Flyers went back on the attack looking for the lead, but a Culver shot in the top right was saved in the 60th minute and a shot in the lower right portion of the goal from Aguilar was saved in the 61st minute.
The saves fueled McKendree as it took the lead in the 63rd minute. Graziosi turned away a shot in the 70th minute and again in the 81st minute to keep Lewis within one goal, but the Flyers couldn't put together another attack on goal.
Final Score: McKendree 3, Lewis 2
