HALF BREAKDOWN
First Half: Lewis 0, Maryville 0
Maryville looked to score the first goal of the contest after having an opening in the ninth minute but Doppelhofer was right there with the save. Erik Alqvist (Helsingborg, Sweden/Hittarps IK Football Club) had the opening for Lewis after picking up a shot attempt but it was off target to the left. 
Makonnen Stampley (Lockport, Ill./Lockport) and Czosnyka both had scoring chances for the Flyers in the 25' and 34' but were off target high. Hernandez looked to give Lewis the lead right before halftime after having a scoring opportunity in the 42' but it was saved by Maryville's goalkeeper.
Second Half: Maryville 1, Lewis 0
Czosnyka started the second half in the opening minutes looking to give Lewis the lead but his shot was out to the right. The Saints recorded the next shot attempt after finding an opening but their shot was saved by Doppelhofer. 
Late in the contest, Lewis had a chance to grab the lead in the 85' after Nicholas Rogalski (Park Ridge, Ill./Maine South) put up a shot attempt but it was out top right then Czosnyka got the rebound and fired off a shot a couple minutes later but the Saints saved it. Maryville got the ball back on its next ensuing possession and drove the field and was able to fire one through the back of the end for a 1-0 lead.
Lewis had one more chance to tie it and force the draw as A. Gorodnickis put up a shot attempt but it went out left. The score would stand as the Saints defeated the Flyers 1-0.
