Jordane Dookie (Port-of-Spain, Trinidad and Tobago/St. Joseph's Convent Port-of-Spain) came on top in her draw during singles and doubles competition on court five while junior
Benedetta Luccone (Roccagorga, Italy/Isiss Teodosio Rossi Priverno) emerged victorious in her singles draw on court nine and was runner up in her doubles on the same court with graduate student
Jovana Vujanic (Elk Grove Village, Ill./Elk Grove) and sophomore
Sreevally Medishetti (Hyderabad, India/St. Francis College for Women) teamed up with Dookie in doubles as the duo won their draw as the Flyers competed at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater Fall Invite.
Dookie won her first match by defeating Grace Ha of Wisconsin-Whitewater in a three-set tiebreaker 2-6, 6-1 (10-4). In her next match, the freshman defeated Teodora Petrica from Roosevelt in straight sets 6-2, 6-4.
In the championship match, Dookie went on to defeat fellow teammate Medishetti 7-5, 1-0. In doubles, the duo of Dookie and Medishetti started their draw by defeating Brooke Haddorff and Pavla Yakimova of Gustavus Adolphus College without dropping a point 6-0.
In the championship match, the Lewis doubles duo defeated fellow teammates
Sofiia Vdovychenko (Kyiv, Ukraine/Arkansas State) and
Anabel Aguilar (San Luis Potosi, Mexico/South Carolina State) 7-5. Vdovychenko and Aguilar started their draw by defeating Allie Laux and Bethany Smith from Gustavus Adolphus 6-1.
In their next match, Vdovychenko/Aguilar emerged victorious after defeating Cassie Lee and Abby Weaver of Wisconsin-Whitewater 4-3, retirement.
While on court 10, Luccone started out by defeating Weaver in straight sets 6-0, 7-5. The next day, the junior defeated Zeynep Ekin Barut from Roosevelt University in back-to-back sets 6-3, 6-3. In the championship match, Luccone went on to defeat Noor Omar from Gustavus Adolphus College 6-3, 6-0.
On the same court, Luccone teamed up with Vujanic and made it to the championship match. The duo started their draw by defeating Alex Repplier and Molly Asfeld of Wisconsin-Whitewater 6-3. The duo ended up falling in the championship match to GAC's Ella DeYoung and Lanie Davis 6-4.
Vujanic was able to make it to the semifinals in her draw after coming away with the victory in her first matchup against Whitewater's Sarah Ferguson 6-3, 6-3 on court four. The graduate student ultimately fell to Olivet Nazarene's Chieh Yu-Chen on court two in a three-set tiebreaker 6-7 (2), 6-1, 1-0 (7).
Avelynn Wen (Taipei, Taiwan/Taipei Municipal Nangang Vocation) made to the semifinals of her draw after recording a victory in her first matchup in her draw against Priyanka Bhogaraju of Whitewater in a three-set tiebreaker and coming back after losing the first set 3-6, 6-2 (10-5). Wen lost to Whitewater's Crystina Lee 6-1, 6-3 on court six.
Vdovychenko was also able to win her opening match on court nine after defeating Rafaela Luna of Olivet Nazarene in straight sets 6-4, 6-3. Unfortunately, the sophomore was eliminated by GAC's Omar in a three-set tiebreaker 6-1, 1-6 (10-5).
Aguilar picked up her first victory on court one against Roosevelt's Varbara Ogorodnikova 6-2, 3-1 retired. Aguilar ended up falling to Whitewater's Repplier 6-3, 2-1.
