HALF BREAKDOWN
First Half: Lewis 2, Rockhurst 0
The start of the GLVC Tournament for the Flyers was a rough one as the Hawks held the ball in their offensive zone for much of the opening minutes of the match. Lewis found their rhythm and started right were they left off during the regular season. The Flyers finally gained possession of the ball and moved it the full length of the field, a line of passes from Darlage and Perez found the foot of Stampley and his shot got past the Rockhurst keeper for an early Lewis 1-0 lead.

A physical match that was allowed to be played on by the officials saw most of the action in the first half take place at mid-field. Both teams had a few free kicks to attempt to get themselves a scoring chance but the clock continued to run off as the score remained 1-0. Then at 41:04 Godwin Asore (Kumasi, Ghana/Putnam Science Academy) moved the ball into the box from the left side, the ball was then picked up by Revell who had a side pass over to Stampley, who once again buried one into the back of the net for a second goal.

Second Half: Lewis 0, Rockhurst 0
Head Coach Evan Fiffles sent out the starters to wrap up the remaining 45 minutes of play. The only substitution which would be made by the Flyers would be caused due to Perez going down with about 20 minutes left to play, Sam Abreu (Middleton, Wis./) would take his place on the pitch. Once again the Flyers controlled the ball specifically through the midfield and ran some offensive sets to try and knock home another goal. They would not get one but they also would not allow any offense to be generated by the Hawks. Asore and Revell would poke the ball around as the clock ran out, and the Flyers advance the the GLVC Semifinals.

Final Score: Lewis 2, Rockhurst 0
