KENOSHA, Wis. – The Lewis University women's basketball team finished another close game (68-61) on Tuesday night (Nov. 26) against non-conference opponent, Wisconsin-Parkside.

GAME SUMMARY
On a cold night in Wisconsin, Badali started off the scoring with a three followed by Gugliuzza with another. Cesarini notched her first steal of the game and turned it into a fast break bucket on the other end.
Lewis got ahead early but the Rangers stayed in the game the entire first quarter, leading to the game being tied at 19 heading into the second quarter.
The Rangers took their first lead of the game to start off the second quarter with a three. In response
Kree Nunnally (Crystal Lake, Ill./Example Academy) got to her spot and hit a jumper for two. Lewis went cold from the field for a few minutes but broke through off of five straight points by
Jasmine Jones (Bolingbrook, IL/Bolingbrook).
Two good free throws from Gugliuzza and a layup from Cesarini sent Lewis into the locker room with a 34-28 lead at halftime.
Lewis would find a ten point lead in the third quarter and would start to get there with hard work off the glass and a layup from McNamee. Cesarini hit a jump shot for two then stole the ball, giving it to Bueno for an open three.
Badali moved quickly downhill for a layup to give Lewis that ten point lead. The Flyers would end the third quarter up by seven with a score of 45-38.
The fourth quater came down to the wire once again for Lewis with Parkside scoring off of two free throws to bring them within five. McNamee was accurate from the mid range to move Lewis back to a seven point lead right after.
Lewis gained another ten point lead with another mid range shot from McNamee and Badli added to the lead with a three.
Scoring went back and forth and the game got close but Bueno hit a dagger three to put Lewis up by six with a minute left. The Flyers fought off any attempt at a comeback and took the game 68-61.

The Flyers take a few days off to give thanks and come back on December 2 for an away game to start GLVC play against the University of Indianapolis at 4:30 p.m. CT.
