GAME SUMMARY
The Flyers began the game right away with a McNamee layup to get themselves on the board first. McNamee on the other end of the floor pulled down a rebound off the defensive glass and worked her way to the three point line to go up by five.
Gugliuzza then had her turn on offense scoring the next nine Flyers' points from everywhere on the floor. Lewis would get an 18-6 lead after a fast break layup from Bueno. Some free throws and interior play would give Lewis a 22-13 lead at the end of the first quarter.
The Flyers defense would hold the Blue Tigers to single digit scoring in both the second and third quarter. Lewis dropped 26 points in the second quarter alone.
It began by Gugliuzza hitting a three off the assist from Hoover, the Flyers would hit five threes in the third quarter off of four shots from Taylor and
Tara Gugliuzza (New Lenox, Ill./Lincoln-Way West) and Cesarini.
Kree Nunnally (Crystal Lake, Ill./Example Academy) hit two back to back layups with three minutes left in the half. Lewis went into halftime with a 45-21 lead.
Second half started with a Blue Tigers three which acted as one-third of their offense in the third quarter. Gugliuzza, Taylor, hit a jumper in the paint to give Lewis 50.
After hitting the half century mark Lewis continued to attack downhill with layups from McNamee and
Alayna Soukup (Lake Zurich, Ill./Lake Zurich). Lewis would head into the final quarter of basketball with a 63-30 lead.
