JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. -- The Lewis University men's basketball team fell in Great Lakes Valley Conference play on the road against the Lincoln Tigers, 75-65, Thursday (Dec. 5).

GAME SUMMARY
Lewis jumped out to an early 13-6 lead after Gibson knocked down a pull up three pointer at the 14:11 mark in the first half. Lincoln responded with a 14-7 run the next eight minutes to grab its first lead since they led 4-3 in the first four minutes.
The Flyers were able to quickly tie it back up at 22-22 after
Cem Kirciman (Istanbul, Turkey/Wisconsin-Green Bay) knocked down a pair at the line. The Blue Tigers closed out the opening half on a 12-4 run the final five minutes to go up 34-28 at the break.
Renfro opened up the second half with a layup to cut it down to four (34-30) before Lincoln knocked down a triple and a layup to extend the lead back out to nine. Lewis looked to charge back after Renfro knocked down a three and a layup as well as Stroud hitting a layup made it 42-41 Lincoln with 14:15 to play.
Lincoln got the ensuing bucket before Warden's aggressive paid off and he knocked down a pair at the stripe to give the Flyers back the lead at 45-44. The Blue Tigers responded with a run of their own with nine unanswered for a 53-45 advantage.
Devon Vanderheydt (Washington, Ill./Washington) tried to get Lewis back in the game after knocking one in from behind the arc which made it 53-48 with under nine to play. Lincoln kept their foot on the gas pedal and kept building its lead making it 60-50 with 7:16 remaining in the contest.
Lewis had one last fight in them as the next four minutes the Flyers scored 10 unanswered including seven from Renfro and a triple by Warden made it 60-60 with 3:37 in the game. Lincoln went on a 15-5 run to close out the contest which won them the game 75-65.
