GAME SUMMARY
FIRST QUARTER: Lewis 2, Lake Erie 1
Lewis got on the board first as Clement scored at the 9:02 mark. Both offenses went quiet until the final minute of the quarter, when Drew Andre (Pitt Meadows, British Columbia, Canada/Pitt Meadows Secondary School) found Nate McLean (Crystal Lake, Illinois/Crystal Lake Central HS) for another Flyers goal to make it 2-0 with just 10 seconds left.

Lake Erie forced a turnover and scored in the final second of the first quarter to get on the board. Rathe made three saves in the period before the last-second goal.

SECOND QUARTER: Lewis 6, Lake Erie 0
Lewis started to pull away early in the second quarter, with a goal from Tarello just 15 seconds in followed by another score from Nolan Dalep (Victoria, British Columbia, Canada/Claremont Secondary School) off a pass from Kevin Blaz (McHenry, Illinois/Marian Central Catholic HS) 59 seconds into the period. Clement found the back of the net again at the 11:57 mark, and Blaz earned a goal of his own to make it 6-1 with 10:17 left before halftime.

McLean kept the scoring onslaught going off an assist from Andrew Schermerhorn (Appleton, Wisconsin/St. Francis Xavier HS / Canisius College) at the 8:11 mark and Good scored the last goal of the first half at the 3:00 mark after the feed from Boyenko to make it 8-1 Flyers. Rathe was great in the second quarter, making five saves without allowing a goal.

THIRD QUARTER: Lewis 6, Lake Erie 1
Lewis put the game away with the first five goals of the third quarter, including three in a row from Boyenko, two assisted by Good and one off a pass from Clement. Then, it was Kendrick scoring at the 8:54 mark before Layne Kology (Hanover, Minnesota/Buffalo HS) scored after receiving the ball from Dalep with 2:15 left in the quarter to make it 13-1 Flyers.

The Storm scored at the 1:08 mark and Kology added another goal with 33 seconds remaining in the period to put Lewis' lead back to 12, 14-2, going into the fourth quarter. Rathe had another strong period, stopping four shots from Lake Erie.

FOURTH QUARTER: Lake Erie 3, Lewis 0
The Storm found more offensive push in the fourth quarter, scoring three goals after Rathe was replaced in net by Caden Donahue (Hugo, Minnesota/Mahtomedi HS). It was too little, too late, though, as the Flyers still held a big lead throughout the period.

Lewis took four shots in the final frame but none found the back of the net.

FINAL SCORE: Lewis 14, Lake Erie 5
