MANKATO, Minn. -- The Lewis University softball team avenged its loss yesterday and defeated Minnesota-Mankato 6-2 while falling to Minnesota Duluth 6-0 at the Minnesota-Mankato Dome Tournament.

Anna Frafjord (Sussex, WI/Hamilton High School) recorded the biggest hit of the game after ripping a three-run double to right center which scored
Payton Wuske (Frankfort, IL/Lincoln-Way East),
Meghan Bontrager (Milford, IN/Northridge) and Graham to make it 4-0.
Mankato was able to get two runs back in the fifth inning after a Lewis miscue made it 4-2.
Bontrager was able to extend the Flyers' lead out to 6-2 after grounding into a fielders choice which scored
Jalyn Powell (Tolono, IL/Unity) and Hoffman.
Allie Wondrasek (New Lenox, IL/Lincoln-Way West High School) (1-0) picked up the win in the circle after pitching a complete game, only allowing one hit, giving up two runs (both unearned) in seven innings of work.

SUMMARY
Lewis loaded the bases in the fifth inning after a
Emma Young (New Lenox, IL/Lincoln-Way West) walk,
Gabi Nilles (North Aurora, IL/West Aurora) single and
Delaney Garden (Carpentersville, IL/Harry D. Jacobs High School) reached on an error but were unable to drive home a run.
Minnesota-Duluth broke through in the sixth inning with three runs in the frame. The Bulldogs added three more in the seventh to make it 6-0.
Garden (0-2) suffered the loss in the circle after going all seven innings, giving up seven hits, allowed six runs (five earned), issuing three walks and striking out eight.
