ST. LOUIS, Mo. - The Lewis University baseball team fell, 9-5, in its series finale at Missouri-St. Louis Sunday (March 17).

GAMEÂ SUMMARY
UMSL scored two runs in the bottom of the second to open the scoring in the game.
Jason Krol (Chicago, Ill./St. Laurence) singled home
Mikey Kocen (Beach Park, Ill.) to get Lewis on the board in the third inning and make it 2-1 Tritons.

In the bottom of the frame, UMSL added two more runs to make it 4-1 and end
Daniel Rosado's (Burbank, Ill.) day on the mound for the Flyers. Rosado ended with four runs allowed (three eaened) in three innings on seven hits and one walk, striking out one and taking the loss (0-1).

The runs kept coming for the Tritons, scoring two more in the fourth to push its lead to 6-1. Lewis loaded the bases in the fifth but couldn't score.

The Flyers cut into the deficit in the top of the seventh, with
Angelo Cantelo (Blue Island, Ill./Marian Catholic) hitting a two-RBI double that scored Krol and
Chris McDevitt (Chicago, Ill./St. Rita).
Patrick Keaty (South Elgin, Ill./South Elgin) then doubled to bring in
Michael Alt (Appleton, Wis./Kimberly) and Cantelo and made the score 6-5.

That was as close as Lewis would get, as UMSL scored two more runs in the seventh and one in the eighth to make it 9-5 and secure the victory.
