GAME SUMMARY
Lewis wasted no time in getting the scoring started, with George Bilecki (Chicago, Ill./Marist) hitting a two-RBI single in the bottom of the first that scored Chris McDevitt (Chicago, Ill./St. Rita) and Jason Krol (Chicago, Ill./St. Laurence) and made it 2-0. The Flyers added three more runs in the second, started by McDevitt drawing a walk to bring home Jackson Hunley (Sun Prairie, Wis./Sun Prairie).

Krol then singled to bring in Michael Alt (Appleton, Wis./Kimberly) and Mikey Kocen (Beach Park, Ill.) to make it 5-0 Flyers. The runs kept coming in the third for Lewis, as Hunley made the most of his first collegiate hit, sending it over the right-field wall for a three-run home run plating Patrick Keaty (South Elgin, Ill./South Elgin) and Tony Fleischauer (Joliet, Ill./Joliet Catholic).

Kocen later singled to bring Thomas Fox (Norfolk, Va./Norfolk Christian) around to score and push the lead to 9-0. Luke Carlson (Granville, Ill./Putnam County), making his first start of the season on the mound for Lewis, finishing with no runs allowed in three innings pitched on four hits and no walks, striking out five.

Ray Cantelo (Blue Island, Ill./Marian Catholic) took over on the mound from there for the Flyers, pitching a scoreless fourth inning with one hit and no walks to earn the win (1-0). After Seth Nanna (Carmel, Ind./Westfield) kept St. Francis off the board in the fifth, Lewis added two more runs in the bottom half.

Fox led off with a double and Angelo Cantelo (Blue Island, Ill./Marian Catholic) homered to drive him in and make the score 11-0. Keaty added a solo shot in the sixth to make it 12-0, which would hold through the end of the game.

Ryan Manikowski (New Lenox, Ill./Providence) had a scoreless sixth inning on the mound for the Flyers and Dru Jasnoch (Gurnee, Ill./Warren Township) finished off the shutout in the seventh. In addition to not allowing a run, Lewis also issued no walks in the win.
