HUNTSVILLE, Ala. -- The Lewis University men's lacrosse team defeated Alabama-Huntsville 13-10 Saturday (March 23) to snap a two-game losing streak.

GAME SUMMARY
FIRST QUARTER: Lewis 5, Alabama-Huntsville 1
Lewis started the contest with the first five goals of the contest for a early 5-0 lead. Nate McLean (Crystal Lake, Illinois/Crystal Lake Central HS) started the scoring with the goal to make it 1-0.
Andre found Schroeder for the goal as Lewis had the advantage to make it 2-0. Malikye Good (Windsor, Ontario, Canada/St. Thomas of Villanova Catholic HS) found Ruskoski as he found the back of the net to make it 3-0.
Three minutes later, Andre was able to get on the board with a goal with 7:26 to play in the first. A little over a minute later, Bravata recorded his first goal of the contest to extend Lewis' lead to 5-0.
UAH was able to score in the closing minute of the first quarter which made it 5-1 Lewis. Rathe recorded six saves in the opening period.
SECOND QUARTER: Alabama-Huntsville 2, Lewis 1
The Chargers started the second quarter with a pair of goals to get within two (5-3) with 12:38 left to go in the first half.
Layne Kology (Hanover, Minnesota/Buffalo HS) was able to find Bravata as the Flyers found the back of net which gave Lewis a 6-3 lead at halftime.
THIRD QUARTER: Alabama-Huntsville 4, Lewis 3
Alabama-Huntsville started the third quarter with a goal in the opening minute to cut it down to 6-4. Lewis responded with three unanswered goals for a 9-4 advantage.
Nolan Dalep (Victoria, British Columbia, Canada/Claremont Secondary School) was able to find Clement for the score and make it 7-4. Kology found the back of the net after receiving the pass from Bravata which made it 8-4.
Dalep recorded another assist as he found Good for the back of the net to extend the lead to 9-4. The Chargers responded with three straight goals to close out the third as the Flyers led 9-7.
FOURTH QUARTER: Lewis 4, Alabama-Huntsville 3
Ruskoski started the final quarter with a man-up goal in the first 12 seconds after receiving the ball from Andre. UAH responded with a goal of its own to get back within two (10-8).
Dalep got on the stat sheet for goals as the graduate student found the back of the net to extend the lead out to 11-8 with 10:29 left. The Chargers recorded another goal to pull within two again with 5:57 to play.
Blaz found the back of the net with 3:25 remaining in the contest which made it 12-9. UAH scored its final goal of the match with 2:27 left to make it a two-score game.
Lewis scored with 51 seconds left in the match to extend the Flyers' lead to 13-10. Rathe recorded three more saves in the final quarter.
FINAL SCORE: Lewis 13, Alabama-Huntsville 10
