QUINCY, Ill. - The Lewis University men's lacrosse team won its Great Lakes Valley Conference opener 19-7 over Quincy Saturday (March 30) for its second consecutive win.

SUMMARY
Lewis exploded right from the start, scoring four goals in the first 2:13. Nate McClean scored in the first minute, while Bravata, Clement and Metheny added goals for the early advantage.
After a Quincy goal, Lewis came back with three more goals to end the first quarter with a 7-1 advantage. Andre,
Malikye Good (Windsor, Ontario, Canada/St. Thomas of Villanova Catholic HS) and
Nolan Dalep (Victoria, British Columbia, Canada/Claremont Secondary School) all scored goals.
Lewis also tallied the first three goals of the second quarter as
Paul Ruskoski (Tulsa, Oklahoma/Bishop Kelley HS) started off the scoring in the quarter, while Clement scored the next two. Boyenko added a goal sandwiched between two Hawk goals for an 11-3 lead at the half.
Clement scored seven seconds into the third quarter to give Lewis a 12-3 advantage. The teams then traded goals with Bravata scoring for the Flyers. A Quincy goal made it 13-5 before Kendrick scored the final goal of the quarter to make it 14-5.Â
The Flyers scored the first five goals of the fourth quarter to pull further away. Clement, Kendrick, Schroeder, Kalen Borg and
John Spaans (Victoria, British Columbia, Canada/Claremont Secondary School) scored in the fourth quarter.
