ROMEOVILLE, Ill. - The Lewis University women's lacrosse team fell to Indianapolis 20-10 Saturday in the Great Lakes Valley Conference opener for both teams.

SUMMARY
The Greyhounds came out with a goal 1:04 into the contest, but the Flyers answered less than 20 seconds later on a goal by
Carlie Serritella (Chicago, Ill./Resurrection). An Indianapolis goal just over a minute later was again answered by Lewis this time on a goal from Winderlik with 9:49 left in the first quarter.
Lewis pulled ahead for the first time in the game on another goal from Winterlik. The Greyhounds responded with three straight goals before a goal from Bowen made it 5-4 after one.
The Flyers made it three goals in a row early in the second quarter to take a 6-5 lead.
Alyssa Davidson (Geneva, Ill./Geneva) scored the equalizer, while Winterlik again gave Lewis the lead.
Back-to-back Greyhound goals gave them the lead once again, but
Emma Stanek (Lakeville, Minn./Lakeville North) came back to even the score at 7-7 on a pass from Paterson. Indianapolis scored the next four goals before Lewis scored twice in the final 20 seconds to make it 11-9 at the half.
Amelia Procyk (Coquitlam, British Columbia, Canada/Dr. Charles Best) scored with 20 seconds left, while Bowen added a tally with seven seconds remaining.
The Greyhounds controlled the third period to put the game out of reach, scoring all seven goals of the quarter to pull ahead 18-9.
Heidi Sweeney (New Westminster, British Columbia, Canada/New Westminster) added a goal for Lewis in the fourth quarter.
