AUBURNDALE, Fla. -- Sophomore
Allie Wondrasek (New Lenox, IL/Lincoln-Way West High School) started the Lewis Softball Florida Trip on a high note as she pitched a no-hitter as the Flyers defeated St. Thomas Aquinas 8-0 then took down Bloomfield 3-0 Saturday (March 9). Wondrasek (3-0) pitched all five innings against the Spartans without allowing a hit or issuing a walk and struck out three.

GAME 1 SUMMARY
Anna Frafjord (Sussex, WI/Hamilton High School) started the scoring in the first inning after she reached on an error which scored
Jalyn Powell (Tolono, IL/Unity) to make it 1-0.
Evie Calderon (Chicago, IL/Whitney Young) connected on her second home run of the season, scoring Frafjord to extend the lead to 3-0 in the third.
One inning later in the fourth,
Gabi Nilles (North Aurora, IL/West Aurora) recorded her second home run of the season to make it a 4-0 Lewis lead. The flood gates opened up in the fifth as the Flyers scored four to force the mercy rule and win 8-0.
Grace Kmak (Mokena, Ill.) andÂ
Erica Hoffman (Hebron, IN/Boone Grove High School) drew bases-loaded walks which scored
Meghan Bontrager (Milford, IN/Northridge) and Kmak. Calderon scored from third on a wild pitch which gave Lewis another run.
Powell walked it off after recording a RBI single which drove home Nilles to make it 8-0.Â

GAME 2 SUMMARY
Both teams were scoreless in the first three innings before Lewis broke through in the fourth. Frafjord hit one over the wall for her first home run of the season to make it 1-0.Â
Nilles stole home in the fifth to give Lewis a 2-0 lead. Powell extended the lead out to 3-0 after reaching on an error which scored
Kenzie Murdock (New Lenox, IL/Lincoln-Way Central High School).Â
Wuske (2-1) pitched the second straight complete game shutout and second of the day for Lewis. The senior tossed seven innings of two-hit ball, walking one and striking out four.Â
