ST. JOSEPH, Mo. -- The Lewis University women's lacrosse team lost to host Missouri Western State 15-6 at
Craig Field at Spratt Memorial Stadium Friday (April 12).

GAME SUMMARY
FIRST QUARTER: Missouri Western State 4, Lewis 2
Missouri Western State started the scoring with the first goal at the 8:39 mark. Lewis quickly responded 39 seconds later as Davidson found Sweeney to tie it at 1-1.
The Griffons responded with three goals at the 6:08, 6:00, 0:55 marks to extend their lead to 4-1. Serritella closed out the first quarter with five seconds remaining and scored on a free-position shot to make it 4-2.
SECOND QUARTER: Missouri Western State 4, Lewis 2
Missouri Western State opened the scoring in the second quarter with a goal in the first minute to make it 5-2. 42 seconds later,
Meltonique Bowen (Pembroke Pines, Fla./Flanagan) responded with a goal which made it 5-3.
MWSU got the next goal to extend its lead to 6-3 with 11:28 left before the half. Serritella picked up her second goal of the contest for the response via free position at the 8:33 mark in the second quarter.
The Griffons scored the last two goals of the first half to take an 8-4 lead at halftime.
THIRD QUARTER: Missouri Western State 5, Lewis 2
Serritella started the scoring the second half which cut it to 8-5 in favor of MWSU. The Griffons scored the next five goals to extend their lead out to 13-5.
Davidson recorded a goal with 17 seconds left in the third quarter which cut the deficit to 13-6. That would be the final goal for the Flyers in the contest.
FOURTH QUARTER: Missouri Western State 2, Lewis 0
Missouri Western State scored the two lone goals of the fourth quarter. One came with 11:37 left then the other was with 6:16 remaining on the clock.
FINAL SCORE: Missouri Western State 15, Lewis 6
