QUINCY, Ill. - The Lewis University baseball team lost, 4-2, at Quincy Friday (April 5) to open a four-game weekend series.

GAME SUMMARY
Quincy struck first with a pair of singles and a sacrifice fly in the bottom of the first inning to take a 1-0 lead. Lewis got even with a solo home run by
Patrick Keaty (South Elgin, Ill./South Elgin) in the top of the third.
The 1-1 score held until the top of the sixth, when
Mikey Kocen (Beach Park, Ill.) led off with a single and later scored on
Chris McDevitt's (Chicago, Ill./St. Rita) RBI single.
Dylan Wolff (Joliet, Ill.) pitched a scoreless bottom half and that finished his day on the mound for the Flyers, as he finished with one run on six hits and one walk in six innings, striking out seven.
Jackson Bruno (Chicago, Ill./Notre Dame Prep) came on and retired each of the first seven batters he faced to get Lewis to the ninth inning with the 2-1 lead intact. A late error set up a walk-off home run for the Hawks, with
Zac Maslona (Carol Stream, Ill./St. Francis) being charged with the loss (0-1).
