ROMEOVILLE, Ill. – The Lewis University women's soccer team suffered a 3-0 loss against Truman State during the game on Sept. 29.
Elisa Aguilar (Plainfield, Ill./Plainfield East) was the winner of the Lewis Women's Soccer Cornerstone Award.

HALF BREAKDOWN
First Half: Truman State 3, Lewis 0
Starting off the game, Truman State scored an early goal to put themselves at a 1-0 lead. Harvey attempted to make a shot for Lewis but Truman State's goalkeeper saved it.
Graziosi made a save from Truman State as the Bulldogs came back around and scored another goal for themselves to put Lewis at a 2-0 advantage. Shots were attempted by Delong and Carlie Burns (Cary, Ill./Cary-Grove) but none found the back of the net.
Near the end of the period, Truman State managed to score yet another goal which made it 3-0. As the period ended, Lewis was unable to score any goals and went into halftime at a 3-0 deficit.
Second Half: Truman State 0, Lewis 0
Moving into the second period saw corner kicks from both sides. Shots were made by Morgan Krupp (New Baltimore, Mich./Anchor Bay High School) and Aguilar but they were off target.
Lewis was on the offensive side of the ball for most of the second period but were not able to break through. Shot attempts to bring Lewis out of its disadvantage were made by Delong, Eyre, Hadzic, and Aguilar but they were all saved by Truman State's goalkeeper.
Later in the period the ball found its way into Lewis territory and a shot was made but it was saved by Graziosi. One final shot was made by Anna to try to at least have a smaller deficit, however, this goal was saved by Truman State's goalkeeper.
