Lewis Women's Soccer Drops Match at Parkside Sunday

KENOSHA, Wis. – The Lewis University women's soccer team were unable to come away with the victory as the Flyers allowed a goal late with Parkside winning 1-0 at Wood Road Field Sunday (Sept. 8).

HALF BREAKDOWN
First Half: Lewis 0, Parkside 0
Parkside looked to score early in the first four minutes of the game as the Rangers went on the attacked and recorded a shot on target but Graziosi saved it.  Lewis tried to get on the board in the 17th and 22nd minutes as Cisneros and Isabella Vargas (Aurora, Ill./West Aurora) had shots on target but Parkside saved them both.

The Rangers recorded a pair of shots on goal in the 25' and 27' but both were stopped by Graziosi.  Hadzic went on the attack in the 36' and 39' then put up shots on target but Parkside's goalie saved both shots.

Second Half: Parkside 1, Lewis 0
Both teams traded shots in the first 15 minutes of the second half but all were off target to keep the score tied at 0-0. Hadzic had a scoring chance after finding some space in the 63' but her shot was saved.

Parkside looked to end the scoreless tie in the 66' but Graziosi recorded the save. Francesca Pastorelli (Gilberts, Ill./Hampshire) had a scoring opportunity after finding an opening in the 72' but Parkside saved it. 

The Rangers were able to break through in the 87', end the scoreless tie and made it 1-0 after a goal by Ava Rizzitano. Rizzitano looked to quickly double the lead but Graziosi saved it.

Final Score:  Parkside 1, Lewis 0
