JEFFERSONTOWN, Kent. - The Lewis University women's bowling team placed eighth over the weekend at the DII Thanksgiving Invite at Kingpin Lanes. The Flyers averaged 189 Sunday, despite going 0-3 on the day with tough-luck losses.
No. 13 Wisconsin Whitewater was the tournament champion, besting Central Missouri in the championship match, while No. 24 Oklahoma Christian beat Newman in the third place match. Rhiannon Davis of Oklahoma Christian won the individual title, shooting a 1,108 over five games. Laney Sasso of Belmont Abbey placed second with a 1,066, while Matlyn Warner of Oklahoma Christian placed third with a 1,058.
