Romeoville, Ill. - The Lewis University women's basketball team played an efficient and dominating brand of basketball in the first quarter against Lincoln but could not hold on for the win.
IMPACT PLAYERS
Laini Joseph had a game high 25 points on 9-15 from the field with 6 rebounds and 2 assists. Isis Sanders provided 20 points while shooting 6-7 from beyond the arc.
Mallory Ramage (Mattoon, IL/Loyola-Chicago) for the Flyers offered 19 points while
Ally Cesarini (La Grange, Ill./Lyons Township) had a double double with 10 points and 10 rebounds.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Lewis outscored the Blue Tigers 25-5 in the first quarter starting with a 17-0 run to begin the game. The two baskets the Flyers allowed came off of a layup from Aaliyah Smith and a three from Sanders.
The Flyers would then score 25 points in both the second and third quarter combined.
The game would be decided in the fourth where Lewis was outscored 21-15 down the stretch. Joseph would get a shot before the buzzer to give Lincoln the 67-65 win.

The Flyers take a few days off and come back to Neil Carey on the 15th to take on Concordia University Chicago in their Toys for Tots game.
