HARROGATE, Tenn. -- The Lewis University softball team dropped both of their games of a split doubleheader on Sunday against Bloomsburg and Lincoln Memorial in two close contests.
GAME 1: Bloomsburg 3, Lewis 2
TEAM RECORDS
Bloomsburg 2-3 | Lewis 12-9
SUMMARY
Runs were a rarity in the rematch between the Huskies and the Flyers on Sunday with Bloomsburg scoring first in the third inning. They would add two more runs the next inning with a two-run home run to give the Huskies a 3-0 lead.
The Flyers were able to throw their first runs on the board in the same inning with a Kmak RBI which moved runners around and allowed Trausch to score.
Lewis would get one more run in the fifth thanks to a Graham home run to bring the game within one. However, both teams would be shut out the rest of the game and Bloomsberg would walk away with the 3-2 win again.
GAME 2: Lincoln Memorial University 1, Lewis 0
TEAM RECORDS
Lincoln Memorial University 15-5 | Lewis 12-10
SUMMARY
A lone run in the bottom of the second for Lincoln Memorial would be the only run scored in the Flyers second contest of the day.
A highlight from the game for Lewis was an eight strikeout-two walk day for pitcher
Delaney Garden (Carpentersville, IL/Harry D. Jacobs High School).
