Head Coach Mike Vuscko on the series:
"I am really happy with the way the boys responded after Friday. Carlson, Lawry and Sanchez gave us really good starts... Offensively the guys were really clicking... The seniors really showed up and showed out for the final three games."

SUMMARY
After being blown out by the Hawks on Friday and claiming two rough games yesterday, the classic Flyers offense made an appearance from the get go on Sunday. After Abraham Sanchez (San Diego, CA/Monte Vista High School) and the Lewis defense went three up three down in the top of the first. Chris McDevitt (Chicago, Ill./St. Rita) started off the base running for the Flyers with a leadoff single and scored moments later after a George Bilecki (Chicago, Ill./Marist) double to left. Bilecki and Mikey Kocen (Beach Park, Ill./UNC-Pembroke) crossed home plate after a Jason Krol (Chicago, Ill./St. Laurence) recorded a hit through the right side of the infield.

The Hawks homered in the top of the second making it a 3-1 ball game. In the bottom, Lewis hits leader Kocen smashed a three run home run to make it a 6-1 game.

In the bottom of the third Cole Nelson (St. Charles, Ill/Lenoir Rhyne) hit a line drive up the middle, sending Will Bruno (Upton, MA/UNC Pembroke) home after his leadoff double to left field.

Quincy added two more runs in the top of the fourth.

However the fourth inning was one of the biggest innings of offense the Flyers have had all season, scoring ten runs in total. Led off by McDevitt doubling to left field, he would score on a ball put in play by Krol which also moved Bilecki to second.

Krol and Bilecki scored on a Bruno single to center field making it a 10-4 game. Cole Nelson (St. Charles, Ill/Lenoir Rhyne) with his third triple of the season sent home Bruno and Cain Headrick (Custer Park, Ill./Providence Catholic). After a Tyler Phommachanhom (Plainfield, Ill/Parkland CC) walk, he stole second and advanced to third on an error by the catcher, on the same at-bat Headrick scored by stealing home.

Phommachanhom scored on a Kocen single to center field. The final runs of the fourth came off the bat of team home run leader George Bilecki (Chicago, Ill./Marist) with a three run home run that drove home McDevitt and Kocen to make it 17-4.

The Hawks added two more runs in the fifth, but the Flyers came back with a two-run home run by Cole Nelson (St. Charles, Ill/Lenoir Rhyne) in the bottom of the fifth to make it 19-6.

After another run in the top of the sixth by the Hawks to make it a 19-9 game, there was no more scoring throughout the game. The ten-run rule was applied in the seventh inning to end the ball game.
