HAMMOND, Ind. -- The No. 13 Lewis University baseball team lost a non-conference contest to Purdue Northwest 11-3 Tuesday (April 15).

SUMMARY
Purdue Northwest jumped out to an early 2-0 lead in the first inning after scoring a pair of runs.
Lewis got one right back in the top of the second inning after
Cole Nelson (St. Charles, Ill/Lenoir Rhyne) drove home
John Henry Russell (Glenview, Ill./Glenbrook South) with an RBI single.
George Bilecki (Chicago, Ill./Marist) tied the game 2-2 in the third inning after the junior connected on his 17
th home-run of the season on a solo shot.
PNW responded with three runs in the bottom of the third, giving the Pride a 5-2 lead.
Nelson got one run back for the Flyers after hitting a solo home run, his eighth of the season, to cut the deficit down to 5-3. That would be the final run for Lewis for the rest of the game.
The Pride scored six unanswered runs, including one in the fourth, two in the fifth, one in the sixth and two in the seventh to grab a 11-3 lead. That score would hold as Purdue Northwest won 11-3.
