Kansas City, MO. – The No. 13 Lewis University baseball team lost the first game of a double header against the Rockhurst Hawks but won the second game of the day on Saturday (April 26).

GAME 1 SUMMARY
A low scoring game in its entirety saw the only scoring come from the fourth inning wth two runs from the Hawks.
Luke Carlson (Granville, Ill./Putnam County) pitched six innings, allowing two runs on five hits, issuing two walks and striking out 11.

GAME 2 SUMMARY
Another pile of scoreless innings with six zeros on the board for the first three innings. Lewis starting pitcher
Brendan Lawry (Bolingbrook, Ill./Eckerd College) ended the game with nine strikeouts acquired four of those in the first three innings.
First runs came in the top of the fourth with a home run from
George Bilecki (Chicago, Ill./Marist) making it a 1-0 Lewis lead.
Lewis opened up their offense in the sixth inning started by a
Mikey Kocen (Beach Park, Ill./UNC-Pembroke) home run to lead off. Bilecki followed up with a single to right field and later scored off of a
Jackson Hunley (Sun Prairie, Wis./Sun Prairie) single.
Cain Headrick (Custer Park, Ill./Providence Catholic) followed him on
Tyler Phommachanhom (Plainfield, Ill/Parkland CC) walk with the bases loaded to make it a 4-0 game.
Chris McDevitt (Chicago, Ill./St. Rita) also walked in a run scoring Hunley.
The Hawks hit a two-run home run in the bottom of the sixth to make it a 5-2 game, this concluded scoring for game two.
