ROMEOVILLE, Ill. – The Lewis University baseball team completed its four-game sweep of No. 11 Davenport Sunday (April 6), winning 8-2 in the opener and rallied for a 10-6 win in the series finale. The win was the Flyers' ninth straight victory.
"The boys played really well all weekend," Lewis baseball coach
Mike Vucsko said. "Everything started on the mound. We got three strong starts from (Dylan) Wolff, (Luke) Carlson and (Brendan) Lawry. Then in game four we made a lot of big pitches. Offensively, Friday we battled every at bat and grinded out runs. Today we swung the bats really well led by all the seniors. We still have 20 games left and we need to keep getting better every day."
