No. 10 Men's Lacrosse Heartbroken by No. 6 Seton Hill

Greensburg, Pa. - In a battle of two top-10 nationally ranked teams, the No. 10 Lewis University men's lacrosse program fell to No. 6 Seton Hill, 11-7, on Valentines Day.

Lewis moved to 2-1 while Seton Hill earned their first win of the year.

IMPACT PLAYERS
Paul Ruskoski (Tulsa, Oklahoma/Bishop Kelley HS) led Lewis with three goals while Carter Korzenski (Orchard Park, N.Y./Limestone) and Josh Schelfe (Pasadena, Md./Northeast) each dished out a team-high two assists. Logan Suchy (Inver Grove Heights, Minnesota/Simley HS) tallied a team-best three ground balls and in net Caden Donahue (Hugo, Minnesota/Mahtomedi HS) made 10 saves across 60 minutes of action.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Flyers struck first as Lance McCann (Elmhurst,Illinois/York Community HS) buried a ball into the back of the net at the 12:54 mark. The two sides proceeded to exchange the next four goals but a man-up goal from Korzenski with 10 seconds left put Lewis ahead, 3-2, after one quarter of action.

Seton Hill controlled the middle stanza as they kept Lewis off the scoreboard while notching five goals of their own to enter the locker room with a 7-3 advantage.

The Flyers got a goal back to start the second half with Malikye Good (Windsor, Ontario, Canada/St. Thomas of Villanova Catholic HS) ending the hosts scoring run. Still, Seton Hill rattled off three of the final four goals of the third to enter the fourth quarter with a 10-5 edge.

Lewis ended the contest on a high note as Ruskoski tallied the final two goals of the game but the earlier deficit was too high to erase as Seton Hill won, 11-7.
