Crestview Hills, Ky. - The Lewis University baseball team split their two games against Thomas More University on day one in the Bluegrass state. Lewis fell in game one, 9-7, but exploded in game two with 20 hits for a 23-13 win.

Phommachanhom.
The Flyers kept scoring through the next inning, as they added three more runs at the top of the third before pushing their lead to five thanks to an RBI from Peterson.
Although the Flyers had a comfortable lead heading into the fourth inning, Thomas More got on the scoreboard by adding six runs at the bottom of the fourth, taking over the lead of the game with a 6-5 score.

GAME TWO
The Flyers took the experience from the first game to win the second matchup on the doubleheader in dominant fashion, with a 23-13 win against Thomas More. Although the hosts were able to get on the scoreboard first at the bottom of the first inning after a run by Jack Geers, the Flyers were quick to respond in the top half of the next frame.
A competitive second inning saw the Flyers put five runs on the scoreboard. After a hit by
Constantine Coines (Park Ridge, Ill./Maine South) that singled up the middle of the field, Phommachanhom advanced to second base while O'Brien and
Israel Delgado (Machesney Park, Ill.) both came home. A home run by
Jimmy Spellman (Chicago, Ill./Notre Dame College of Prep) allowed the Flyers to push their lead all the way up to five. Thomas More responded by adding four runs at the bottom of the second, tying the game 5-5.
After a scoreless third inning, the Flyers came back to the top of the fourth ready as they added three runs right away after another Spellman home run with additional runs by Coines and Phommachanhom. Chaltin notching his own home run to left center field while support from multiple Flyers propelled them ahead, 11-5.
Thomas More added five runs in the fourth inning and three runs in the fifth but a Lewis home run in the fifth from Peterson let the two sides stay knotted at 13.
The seventh inning saw the Flyers have their highest scoring inning of the night, as two runs by Spellman, one run by Phommachanhom, a run by O'Brien, one more run from Hunley, and a homerun from Coines brought the Flyers ahead, 22-13. One more run from Spellman at the top of the ninth inning off a Chatlin double added the final run of the night to the Flyers' dominant performance. With 20 hits as a team, the Flyers took the victory in the second matchup of the doubleheader with a final score of 23-13.
It marked the first time since April 22, 2025, when they defeated Saint Francis (IL) 27-2 that Lewis tallied 20-or-more runs
