Â
Thomas More also left two runners on base in the bottom of third inning with redshirt junior
Vince Gohlke (New Berlin, Wis.) pitching out of it with a swinging strikeout.
Â
The Saints opened the scoring in the bottom of the fourth inning after a mostly defensive game. After a walk and a single to open the inning, Lewis brought in freshman pitcher
Pablo Herrera (Plainfield, Ill./Plainfield South) in relief, and after a strikeout and a stolen base, Theodore Bosio singled to right for a clutch two RBI single to put Thomas More up 2-0 late.
Â
Coming in as a pinch hitter in the top of the seventh inning, O'Brien led with a leadoff triple and scored on a groundout by junior

Â
The Saints erased that deficit they were facing in the bottom half of the second adding four runs on four hits. Three of the four runs came on RBI singles from Chad Atchley, Jack Geers, and Sean O'Donnell.
Â
In the top of the third, the back-and-forth offense continued with a leadoff homer from senior
Daniel O'Brien (Joliet, Ill./Joliet Catholic) to tie the game at 4-4. Phommachanhom put Lewis back on top later in the inning, bringing in the go-ahead run at 5-4 on an RBI single to center.
