GAME 1: Ohio Dominican 2, Lewis 1
The Panthers opened the scoring in the top of the first inning as a sacrifice fly to center field scored a run. They added to the lead in the top of the third inning as a single scored a run. They had a chance to extend the lead further but
Teagan Berkshire (/Lincoln-Way Central) threw out a runner at home from center field.
Lewis rallied in the bottom of the seventh and loaded the bases with no outs thanks to a pair of errors and an infield single.
Kristen Graham (Mapleton, Ill./Illini Bluffs High School) flied out to left field to score a run, but a runner was doubled off second base. A fly out with two outs ended the game.
Nicole Magdziasz (Tinley Park, Ill./Providence Catholic High School) went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead the Flyers. Alyvia Lawrentz (6-7) picked up the win, allowing six hits and an unearned run in seven innings, striking out four.

GAME 2: Lewis 6, Ohio Dominican 5
Ohio Dominican started the scoring the same way it did in Game 1, with a sacrifice fly, this time in the second inning to pull ahead 1-0. Lewis answered back in the bottom half of the second as
Ariana Trausch (Elk Grove Village, Ill./Elk Grove High School) tripled to right field, scoring
Morgan Spodarek (Lockport, Ill./Lockport Township). A single from Berkshire scored Trausch to give Lewis its first lead of the day, 2-1.
The Panthers evened the score in the top of the third inning, but the Flyers got the run right back in the bottom half of the third as a
Chloe Kohnhorst (Minooka, Ill./Minooka) double scored
Anna Frafjord (Sussex, Wis./Hamilton High School). Ohio Dominican came back again in the top half of the fourth inning, scoring three runs to take a 5-3 lead.
Lewis responded in the bottom of the fifth as a Trausch double scored Spodarek. Berkshire then singled to score both Trausch and Kohnhorst to give the Flyers the lead back at 6-5. The Panthers had one out triples in both the sixth and seventh innings, but the Flyers were able to get out of it both times without a run to preserve the victory.
Spodarek and Kohnhorst led the offensive attack with three hits each. Magdziasz, Trausch (2 RBI) and Berkshire (3 RBI) all had two hits. Lewis belted 15 hits in the game.
