Track & Field Produces Two Top-Eight Finishes on Day Two of 2026 NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships

Emporia, Kansas - The Lewis University men's and women's track & field programs earned another pair of All-Americans on day two of the 2026 NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships.
 
At the high jump apron, Abraham Christian (Huntley, Ill./Huntley HS) picked-up NCAA Outdoor All-American status for the first time in his career as he placed eighth with a final height of 2.10 meters. 
   
On the track, Mary Edwards (Indianapolis, Ind./North Central) finished fourth in the 3000 meter steeplechase final with a final time of 10:20.86 to land All-American accolades.It marked the first All-American honor for the Indianapolis, Indiana, native in the steeplechase. 
 
Brendon Shea (Hershey, Pa./Hershey) also competed in the 3000 meter steeplechase final on the men's side, placing 12th with a time of 9:13.26.
 
UP NEXT
The Flyers will wrap up their week in the Sunflower State tomorrow with Evan Horgan (Loves Park, Ill./Belvidere North) competing in the 5000 meter finals.
