Indianapolis, Ind. – The 2026 Academic All-District Baseball Team, selected by College Sports Communicators (CSC), recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their achievements both in competition and in the classroom. Lewis University pitcher Jackson Bruno (Chicago, Ill./Notre Dame Prep) earned the distinction this season.

Bruno receives CSC Academic All-District honors after another successful year as a standout student-athlete for the Flyers. This season, the finance major recorded 3 wins and 24 strikeouts while serving in a starting role on the Lewis pitching staff. He also established a new career-high with six strikeouts against Upper Iowa and delivered a zero-walk performance against regionally ranked Maryville. His continued success on the mound builds upon a collegiate career that includes a 2024 All-GLVC Second Team selection and a key role in helping Lewis capture the 2025 GLVC Regular Season Championship.

Since arriving at Lewis in 2024, Bruno has excelled both academically and athletically. He has been recognized as a Br. James R. Gaffney Distinguished Scholar, earned the Br. David Delahanty Award three times, and received GLVC All-Academic Team honors while maintaining nearly a perfect 4.0 GPA.
