Lewis Cross Country Announces 2026 Schedule

Romeoville, Ill. – Lewis University head cross country coach James Kearney announced the Flyers' 2026 schedule on Friday (July 24), a slate that features two home competitions.

The season begins on Sept. 4 as Lewis hosts the annual Flyer Early Bird at the Lewis Cross Country Course in Romeoville. 

Lewis heads to South Bend, Indiana, on Sept. 18 for the National Catholic Invitational, an annual meet that brings together a competitive field of regional and national programs.

The Flyers return home on Oct. 10 to host the Lewis Crossover, welcoming teams from across the country to Romeoville for one of the premier regular-season meets on their schedule. 

The regular season concludes on Oct. 24 with a trip to Lock Haven, Pennsylvania, for the Lock Haven Invitational.

Championship season begins Nov. 7 at the GLVC Championships in Springfield, Missouri. The women's team will look to earn its fifth consecutive GLVC Cross Country Championship, while the men's team seeks its fourth straight. Lewis then travels to Kenosha, Wisconsin, for the NCAA Midwest Regional Championships on Nov. 21. 

The 2026 season concludes on Dec. 4 at the NCAA Division II Cross Country Championships in Lawrence, Kansas.
