Biography

2019 Highlights: Recipient of the Br. David Delahanty Award -- given to Lewis student-athletes for academic excellence...also named to the Academic All-GLVC team...she finished fourth in the 60 meter hurdles with a time of 9.12 seconds and was fifth in the triple jump with a jump of 35 feet, 10.5 inches at the GLVC Indoor Track and Field Championships...she ran season best in the 400 meter hurdles at the McKendree Bearcat Classic with a time of 1:07.61...she finished fourth in the 100 meter hurdles and seventh in the triple jump at the GLVC Outdoor Track and Field Championships.

Prep/Personal: Bernett was a three-sport athlete for three years at Luthern North College Prep before finishing her prep career at Lane Tech High School...at Lane Tech she lettered in track and field, basketball, volleyball and cross country...she set the Lane Tech school record in the 60 meter hurdles (9.18 seconds)...qualified for the IHSA Class 3A State Track and Field meet in the 100 meter and 300 meter hurdles...helped lead her team to the Chicago Public School Championship in 2019...daughter of Claire Mccormack and Derek Bernett...majoring in biology.
