Prep/Personal: Played four seasons at Washington Community High School...Helped lead his teams to 45 wins over the last three seasons including a 17-1 record his senior year...Averaged 16.5 points, 6.3 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.1 steals per game during his senior season...Shot 45 percent from the beyond the arc and 56 percent inside the arc. He finished his prep career with 1,101 points...Was a two-time unanimous First Team All-Conference selection, was named to the Peoria Journal All-Area Second Team in 2020 and the All-Area First Team in 2021... Earned Illinois Basketball Coaches Association (IBCA) 3A All-State Honorable Mention honors as a junior and was named to the IBCA 3A All-State First Team as a senior and was named to the Illinois AP All-State honorable mention team...Son of Jerry and Kelly Vanderheydt...Majoring in Marketing.
