2012 Highlights: Recipient of the Br. David Delahanty Award - given to Lewis student-athletes for academic excellence and named to Academic All-GLVC Team...did not compete during indoor season...raced to a personal best time in the 400-meter dash (51.17) at the Big Blue Classic (Apr. 21)...earned a personal best time in the 800-meter run (1:55.82) at the GLVC Outdoor Championships (May 5).
2011 Highlights: Recipient of the Br. David Delahanty Award, given to Lewis student-athletes for academic excellence, and named to Academic All-GLVC Team...his 800-meter run time of 1:58.05 at the GLVC Outdoor Championships (May 7) was the Flyers’ second-fastest of the season...set a personal record in the 1,500-meter run (4:07.6) at the ISU Pacesetter Invitational (Apr. 23), which was the Flyers’ third-fastest mark of the season...finished second in the 1,500-meter run (4:07.83) at the Eagle Invitational (Apr. 16).
2010 Highlights: Named to All-GLVC Indoor Second Team after placing third in the 800-meter run (1:56.01) at the GLVC Championships (Feb. 27) which was a team-season best...recipient of the Br. David Delahanty Award, given to Lewis student-athletes for academic excellence...won the 600-meter run (1:25.56) at the Ranger Open (Jan. 22)...owns Lewis’ fastest outdoor 800-meter time of 1:55.85, set at the Gina Relays (Apr. 24).
2009 Highlights: Did not compete and will retain four years of eligibility...Delahanty Award recipient given to Lewis student-athletes for academic excellence.
Prep/Personal: Four-year track and field letterwinner for three-time East Suburban Catholic Conference champs Benet Academy...was the second student-athlete in school history to become a four-time state qualifier...three-time ESCC champ in the 4x400 relay, two-time 800-meter run champ and 400-meter run champ...ran the anchor leg of the sectional champion and school-record setting 4x800 relay squad as a sophomore...placed fourth overall in the 800-meter run at the Indoor State Championships as a junior and third in the same event as a senior...placed 10th overall in the 800-meter run at the Outdoor State Championships as a junior...was an honorable mention All-Conference and All-Area selection in basketball...son of George and Jean Gasick...major is communication studies.
