Biography

2013: Named All-GLVC Second Team, ABCA Midwest Region First Team and Daktronics Midwest Region Second Team…started in 51 games for the Flyers, splitting time between 40 games first base and 11 the mound…led the Flyers with 55 hits, 17 doubles, 41 RBI…had a season-high four hits against West Virginia Wesleyan (March 4), including a career-high three doubles, and was perfect (4-for-4) against Kentucky Wesleyan (April 14)…blasted two home runs against Southern Indiana (April 21)…had a season-high 5 RBI against Southern Indiana (April 21)…On the mound for the Flyers, he opened the season with a 7.0 inning 17-0 shutout of Wheeling Jesuit (March 3), striking out seven…picked up the win against Missouri-St. Louis (May 11) in the GLVC Tournament, throwing a season-high 8.0 innings, striking out six…struck out a career-high nine batters against Grand Valley State (May 17) in the NCAA Midwest Regional.

2012 Highlights: All-GLVC Second Team East Division selection as a utility player...played in 54 games with 45 starts at first base and eight starts at pitcher...second on the team in wins (six) and slugging percentage (.553)...picked up first victory as a Flyer after allowing no runs in 6.1 innings in game one vs. Saginaw Valley State (March 9)...allowed only one run in a complete game seven inning victory in game one vs. Upper Iowa (March 28)...gave up just one run in a 9.0 inning complete game victory at Southern Indiana (April 22)...credited with the victory after allowing only two runs in a 7.0 inning outing in game two at UW-Parkside (April 3)...knocked in six runs thanks to two home runs, three total hits and three runs scored in game one vs. UW-Parkside (April 18)...hit a three-run home run in game two vs. UW-Parkside for nine-total RBI on the day (April 18)...in his first game as a Flyer, hit two-home runs and singled vs. Findlay (March 4)...tripled, doubled and recorded three RBI in game onat Northern Kentucky (May 5)...doubled, singled and drove in a pair of runs vs. Maryville (March 6)...singled twice, walked once and scored three times vs. Saint Xavier (April 12)...recorded two RBI in game two vs. Saint Joseph's (March 31), vs.St. Francis (April 24) and in game two at Northern Kentucky (May 5).

Prior to Lewis (At Triton College): Played two seasons for Triton...in 2011, was named All-Conference and chosen to start in the Chicago Area All-Star game...batted .377 with 55 hits, 52 RBI and 13 doubles...had a .987 fielding percentage defensively while helping team to a conference title.

Prep/Personal: Following senior season at North Newton High School, was named First Team All Area by the Gary Post-Tribune and Northwest Indiana Times as both a pitcher and first baseman...also named Player of the Year by the Rensselaer Times and chosen to play in the North-South All-Star game.
