Biography

2016 Highlights: Named GLVC Player of the Week on April 11th…started in 10-of-11 games pitched…tied for team lead in wins (5)…led team in strikeouts (51)…picked up win after allowing one earned run and striking out five batters in 7.0 innings against UW-Parkside (March 25)…recorded season high of 10 Ks and not allowing a single run in 6.0 innings at Illinois Springfield (April 8).

Prior to Lewis: Completed two years at Illinois Central College…threw his way to a record of 7-3 on the mound with 49 strikeouts in 60.2 innings pitched, compiling an ERA of 2.67 as a sophomore…as a freshman threw 36 innings for 35 K’s with a record of 5-2.

Prep/Personal: Earned four letters at Canton…selected as a McDonald’s All-Star his final two years…as a junior, helped his team to a regional championship and a runner up sectional finish… played club ball for the Central Illinois Outlaws…history major…son of Steve and Melody Shake.
