2016 Highlights: Named to Academic All-GLVC Team... Competed in five races...was the Flyers' No. 2 runner at the Flyers/Flames Challenge (Sep. 3) running a career-best 4K time of 15:23.3 also finishing fifth overall...was the Flyers' No. 2 runner at the National Catholic Invitational (Sep. 16) with a career-best 5K time of 18:47.7 also finishing in the top 20 overall...was the Flyers' No. 3 runner at the Lewis Conference Crossover (Oct. 8) with a time of 23:00.63...was the Flyers' No. 2 runner at the GLVC Championships (Oct. 22) finishing twelfth overall with a time of 23:15.62...was the Flyers' No. 3 runner at the NCAA Regionals (Nov. 5) finishing with a career-best 6K time of 21:48.18...recipient of the D2 ADA Academic Achievement Award.  

2015 Highlights: Earned USTFCCCA All-Academic recognition...recipient of the Br. David Delahanty Award - given to Lewis student-athletes for academic excellence - and named to Academic All-GLVC Team...competed in six races...helped Lewis to an 11th-place finish at the 6K NCAA Championships (Nov. 21) with a 121st-place mark of 22:25.6...was Lewis' No. 4 runner at the 6K NCAA Midwest Regional Championships (Nov. 7) with a 35th-place finish of 22:08.76...was the fourth Flyer to cross the finish line at the 5K National Catholic Invitational (Sept. 18) with a time of 19:25.4.

Prep/Personal: Earned four varsity letters in both cross country and track and field at Mattoon…dubbed both the regional and section cross country champion, as well as individually qualifying for state, as a senior…named All-State for cross country with an individual regional championship and claimed the state title in the 4x800m and the sectional championship for the 1600m in track and field as a junior…as a sophomore was the Apollo Conference champion in both the 800m and 400m…named cross country All-conference and was an individual state qualifier as a freshman...aviation flight major…daughter of Katherine and Michael Shaffer.
