Julie Wessler is in her first season as an assistant coach for the Lewis University swimming programs.
Wessler swam for Wingate University where she served as captain for the 2014-15 season. In 2015, she was named an All-American in the NCAA DII National Championships as she helped her team place third place overall. Wessler’s swimming experience has traveled to Germany where she holds the German Record 4x50 Medley Relay time as well as the title of third place 25k in German Water Open Championships from 2010. She also swam in the European Cup championships in Croatia (2009) and Junior European Championships in France (2008).Â
Wessler graduated from Wingate University with a Bachelor of Science in Sports Management in 2015 and continued her studies to achieve a Master of Arts in Sports Management in 2016.
During her time at Wingate, Wessler was coaching the swim team, tutoring in foreign languages and serving as the management intern. She also worked as a lifeguard for three years.
