Thomas Millett joined Lewis Swimming's coaching staff as a graduate assistant heading into the 2024-2025 season and is entering his first season with the program.
Millett is a highly accomplished swim coach with a proven track record of developing elite athletes at both, club and collegiate levels. His athletes include 15 U.S. Olympic Trials qualifiers, over 20 U.S. Senior National qualifiers, and more than 30 U.S. Junior National qualifiers, along with 50+ Futures qualifiers and 3 Junior National Team members.
His impact extends beyond club swimming—he served as the assistant coach at Babson College and was the Volunteer Assistant Coach at Harvard when Dean Farris broke the NCAA Division I record in the 200-yard freestyle.
A former collegiate swimmer himself, Thomas experienced championship success firsthand, winning a Big Ten title with The Ohio State University and two A-10 championships with the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
Thomas is dedicated to mentoring swimmers and helping them achieve their highest potential in and out of the pool. The personal experience and the professional expertise he brings to coaching have propelled his swimmers to national and international competitions.
Before his collegiate career, the Marblehead, MA native, swam at Marblehead High School earning a state title in the 200 IM.
Millett graduated from the University of Massachusetts in 2013 with a bachelor's degree in Individual Concentration: Film, Television, and Interactive Media Production. He is currently pursuing an MBA with a concentration in Tax and Accounting.
