Former two-time Great Lakes Valley Conference Men's Tennis Player of the Year Uno Lapimaa has joined the Lewis staff as a Volunteer Assistant Coach for both men's and women's tennis.

Lapimaa finished his career with over 200 victories in a Flyer uniform from 2008-12. As a singles player, Lapimaa totaled a mark of 113-19 and a combined doubles record of 100-28. He helped the Flyers to a pair of NCAA Regional appearances in both 2010 and 2012.

As a freshman, Lapimaa owned a singles record of 22-11 and a combined doubles mark of 21-10 on his way to GLVC Freshman of the Year accolades. He was named the GLVC Men's Tennis Player of the Week six times during his career.

As a senior, Lapimaa became the first Flyer in school history to advance to the USTA/ITA National Small College Championships where he finished fifth in the singles bracket. Following the season, Lapimaa was selected as the ITA Midwest Region 'Player of the Year' after his singles record of 36-6 and combined doubles mark of 32-7.
