Scott Taylor built the inaugural Lewis University bowling programs as they concluded their fourth year of competition in 2021-22. The women's team had a successful campaign, going 49-43 and finishing the season ranked No. 20 in the country and No. 4 in the Division II/III poll. They also finished with the 10th best GPA in the country (3.6) and had an eighth place finish in the Addison Sectional. They took home their first tournament title in program history, winning the Flyer Classic.

In 2020-21 the Flyers finished the season 24-26 with a No. 8 ranking in the Division II poll. They took home seventh place in the Addison Sectional on the USBC side.

The 2019-20 season saw the Flyers enter the Division II/III poll for the first time in program history as the Flyers finished the season ranked No. 10 in the poll. They ended the season with a 53-36 record and qualified for their first sectional, which was canceled due to covid. In the inaugual season, the Flyers posted a 36-40 record.

Overall Taylor has guided Lewis to a tournament title and five runner-up finishes in four seasons. He has posted 160 wins in four seasons and has had eight all-conference athletes. The Flyers have also had 23 NTCA Scholar Athletes and are four-for-four in All-Academic Team awards during his tenure.

On the men's side, the Flyers have qualified for sectionals twice, finishing eighth in 2021, and have a fourth and sixth-place finish at club nationals.

Lewis also made itself known in the United States Bowling Congress, advancing to match play at the Storm Baker Challenge, finishing eighth, and taking 69th place overall on the season, finishing three spots away from sectionals.

Taylor also spends time working with as an athletic communications assistant. In his role he has been the media contact for a NCAA Division II women's volleyball regional, assisted at a NCAA Division II men's basketball regional and MIVA Conference title game, as well as multiple GLVC Tournaments. He writes all of the bowling stories for the lewisflyers.com website and assists in writing other stories for the website. He has also stated soccer, softball and baseball games for Lewis.

Taylor is a 2007 graduate of Lewis where he majored in journalism and received a minor in coaching. He was a basketball manager for four years and was sports editor for The Flyer for two years. He earned a Masters in Business Administration from Benedictine University in 2010.

He lives in Joliet, IL with his wife Mandie, a Lewis graduate, son Knox (7) and daughter Charlotte (4).
