Andy Cole

Andy Cole, in his second season as an assistant coach for the Lewis University women's volleyball program, brings significant collegiate, club and professional experience to the Flyers bench. In 2010 he helped the Flyers to a Great Lakes Valley Conference Championship, a victory in the NCAA Tournament  and a final AVCA ranking of No. 14.

Cole served as a graduate assistant coach for the Loyola-Chicago women's volleyball program from 2007 to 2008. His duties included assisting in practice plans, creating scouting reports and monitoring student-athlete academic progress. Cole graduated with an MBA from Loyola-Chicago in 2009.

From late 2009 to mid 2010 Cole was an assistant coach for the Rote Raben Professional Volleyball Club in Vilsbiburg, Germany. He helped the squad to a third place finish at the Under 20 German National Championships. During the summers of 2009 and 2010 Cole was the Boys Select & Youth Continental Team Head Coach for USA Volleyball at the High Performance Championships.

Cole, the 2003 MIVA Freshman of the Year, played collegiately at Ohio State. He graduated with a finance degree in 2006. He earned second team all-conference honors three times. Cole finished his time as a Buckeye with 1,155 career kills, eighth all-time in OSU history. He was a co-captain and represented the team on the Student Athlete Advisory Board.

Cole gained experience with USA Volleyball before committing to Ohio State, attending the High Performance Camp in 1998-99, was a member of the Youth Training Team in 2000 and participated on the Junior National Team in 2002.

He has extensive club experience, serving as a head or assistant coach for Wisconsin Power, D1, and North Shore Milwaukee clubs following his graduation from Ohio State. Cole has worked camps for: Loyola-Chicago, Marquette, Nebraska, Ohio State, Wisconsin, Center Court, Matchpoint and Badger Region. Cole also serves as an assistant coach for the men's program at Lewis.
