2025 Lewis Women’s Lacrosse Team

Mariah Smith

Smith was named Head Coach of the women's lacrosse program in June of 2025 after serving as the programs interim for the 2025 season. During which Smith led the Flyers this spring to their second most wins (6) in program history. In 2024 the Flyers set the record for wins in a season with nine, when Smith was an assistant coach.
 
Before Lewis, Smith was at Aurora University as an assistant coach from 2020-2024, where she also spent time as an interim head coach. As the interim coach she led Aurora to the NACC Conference championship and a NCAA Tournament appearance.
 
As a player, Smith was a four-year starter at Illinois Wesleyan University, where she got a Bachelors Degree in Psychology. She helped lead IWU to two NCAA Tournament appearances. She was the CCIW Defensive Player of the Year in 2018, was a three-time All-CCIW Defender and two-time First Team All-Region defender.
