Romeoville, Ill. – The Lewis University women's volleyball team improved to 16-8 overall and 8-2 in Great Lakes Valley Conference play with a 3-0 (25-16, 25-15, 25-21) victory over GLVC West division rival William Jewell. Jewell falls to 10-12 on the season, 4-6 in GLVC action.

Freshman
Cassidy Parsons (Elkhart, Ind./Elkhart Memorial) led the Flyers with 11 kills, two digs and one block in the straight-set victory.
Carly Perschnick (Dwight, Ill./Dwight Township) had 10 kills, two digs and a block while
Colleen Mitros (Mokena, Ill./Providence Catholic) had nine kills, seven digs, one block and one service ace.
Libero
Amy Choi (Vernon Hills, Ill./Vernon Hills) led the Flyer defense with 21 digs and three assists, while defensive specialist
Mary Carroll (Naperville, Ill./Naperville Central) had 10 digs.
Setter
Leigh Barea (Battle Creek, Mich./Harper Creek) had 23 assists, five kills and four digs as
Vivian Pritz (Joliet, Ill./Joliet Township) posted 15 assists, two digs and one kill for the Flyers.
Lewis wraps up cross-divisional play on Sunday (Oct. 21) when the Flyers host the Rockhurst Hawks at Neil Carey Arena. First serve is set for 1 PM.
