Lewis' Zsofia Lanstiak upsets second-ranked Barbora Krtickova, 6-3, 6-4.

Junior Zsofia Lanstiak defeated the No. 2 player in the nation on Wednesday.

Savannah, Ga. - Lewis University junior Zsofia Lanstiak (Budapest, Hungary/Karinthy Frigyes Gimnazium) upset the No. 2 ranked singles player in the nation, but that was all the Flyers could muster as No. 1 ranked Armstrong Atlantic State claimed the 8-1 non-conference win over the No. 37 Flyers at Bacon Park on Wednesday (March 6) afternoon.

Lanstiak defeated Barbora Krtickova, 6-3, 6-4 at No. 1 singles.

With the win, Armstrong Atlantic State improves to 10-0 overall, while the visiting Flyers drop to 2-2 on the campaign.

Lewis returns to action on Saturday (March 9), as the Flyers meet No. 18 Georgia College for an 11 AM (ET) first serve in Milledgeville, Ga.
