Romeoville, Ill. - The Lewis University men's basketball team looks to end its three-game road swing on a high note, as the Flyers (3-1) head to Detroit for a 3 PM ET showdown against Wayne State (0-2) on Saturday (Nov. 29) afternoon.

ALL-TIME SERIES - Since Lewis entered the Division II ranks, the all-time series between the Flyers and Wayne State is tied at four.
LAST TIME WE MET - Lewis used a 20-1 run early in the second half to earn the 78-57 regional victory over Wayne State at Neil Carey Arena on November 30, 2013.
LAST TIME OUT - Despite shooting over 50% for the fourth-straight game and outrebounding Ferris State by 15, the visiting Flyers fell short as the host Bulldogs earned the 70-67 regional win over Lewis on November 22nd.
TRIPLE THREAT - Lewis senior guard
Ryan Jackson (Bolingbrook, Ill./Riverside-Brookfield) has led the Flyers in points, rebounds and assists in a single game, five times during his career.
THE LAST TIME - Lewis freshman guard
Max Strus (Hickory Hills, Ill./Stagg) posted 20 points and 10 rebounds in the 91-62 win over Malone (Nov. 15). He is the first Flyer freshman to score at least 20 points in a game since Jackson did it as a rookie in 2011-12 He is also the first rookie to notch a double-double since his brother Marty Strus (2008-12) accomplished that feat in 2008.
GETTING TO THE LINE - Lewis is 9-0 over the past three seasons when Jackson gets to the free throw line at least 10 times.
SMOKIN' HOT - Lewis has won 32 of its last 41 contests dating back to the 2012-13 campaign for a winning percentage of .780. During that stretch, the Flyers have defeated five teams that were ranked in the NABC/Division II Men's Basketball Poll. The Flyers have won 43 games since the start of the 2012-13 campaign.

Julian Lewis (Flossmoor, Ill./Homewood-Flossmoor) needs 176 points to reach 1,000 for his career.
1,000/700 CLUB - Lewis needs 176 points and 142 rebounds to become the fourth Flyer in school history to notch at least 1,000 points and 700 rebounds in the Division II era.
WINNING WITH CLASS - Lewis' current senior class (2011) needs 15 wins to reach the most victories (75) by a Trost recruiting class, set by last year's seniors.
FROM WAY DOWNTOWN - Seven different Flyers have connected for at least two three pointers in Lewis' first four games this season.
FROM WAY DOWNTOWN (PART DEUX) - Lewis shot a scorching 68.8% (11-for-16) from three-point range in their win over Saginaw Valley on November 20th. That was their best three-point performance since they drained 69.2% (9-for-13) of their attempts in a 69-67 win over Indianapolis on February 26, 2011.
DEEP BENCH - Lewis has nine players who are averaging at least 11.3 minutes-per-game this season.
EFFICIENT SHOOTING - Lewis has shot over 50% in each of its first four contests. The Flyers have never accomplished that feat in five straight games during Trost's tenure.

LESS IS MORE - The Flyers needed just 47 total field goal attempts to defeat Saginaw Valley State on November 20th. Lewis is 10-3 (.769) since 2012 when taking less than 50 shots in a contest.
WELCOME TO THE TEAM - Trost announced that he has signed 6-foot-2 combo guard Jake Reinhart to a National Letter of Intent to play for the Flyers beginning in 2015. Reinhart's sister Jess is currently a four-year starter for Lewis' nationally ranked women's basketball team.
BUCKING THE TREND - Since the 2009-10 season, the home team in the Lewis/Wayne State series has been victorious over the last five games. The last time a visiting team won was on March 13, 2004, as the eighth-seeded Warriors defeated top-seeded Lewis, 65-62, in a NCAA Great Lakes Regional quarterfinal match-up.
